After an unfortunate 2020, the packaging machinery sector is reporting more than positive results. The figures for the first quarter of 2021, in fact, showed growth of 4.5% in the external market and 43.2% in the internal market.

Today, the link between packaging and e-commerce is increasingly inseparable. The increase in online shopping over the last year has led to the need to adopt a more environmentally friendly attitude on the one hand, and to the need to identify new, more efficient and digitised logistics processes on the other.
According to the analysis of the UCIMA Research Centre, in 2020 the sector contracted by 5% compared to the previous year.
